Exploring ways to engage with museum visitors and make their visit more meaningful

Project

UX Research & Design /
British Museum

Responsibilities

Research programme plan, workshop facilitation, research synthesis, user profile and user journey map development, knowledge sharing

The Islamic Gallery at the British Museum was under renovation and the curator wanted to explore options for the digital experience in the new space. I was hired to work with the digital media and publishing team to gain visitor insights, collaboratively develop concepts, and recommend an appropriate digital interpretive strategy.

“I like to explore on my own pace. I wouldn’t mind as long as it doesn’t interfere with my visit.”
